Obituary for Clifford Powers Clifford William Powers, 85, of Gregory’s Run passed away on Sunday. October 7, 2018 at his home. He was born January 29, 1933 to the late George L. and Opal M. Clevenger Powers.

In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Ganoe Powers who passed away on June 22, 1968. He is survived by his daughters, Belinda Powers of Gregory’s Run; and Debra Powers of Clarksburg; his grandson, J.C. Powers and his companion Erica Scheuvront ; four granddaughters, Nicole Hatala and her companion Steve Bailey; Natasha Hatala – Bell and her husband Bruce; Whitney Newlon and her companion Jacob Hire; and Heather Powers; his great-grandchildren, Bryce and Breck Bailey; Tristan and Gwen Dean; Victoria Rose and Jacie Grace Powers; three sisters, Geneva Davis; Sandra Jenkins and her husband Bobby; and Kathy Miller and her husband Buck. Cliff was also preceded in death by three sons, Rodney, Jimmy, and Allen Powers; two brothers, Lloyd and Charlie Powers; as well as three sisters, Inamae Earnest; Virginia Kesling; and Barbara Showen.

Cliff loved his children more than anything. He always liked talking to his neighbors and spending time with them. Cliff also enjoyed working on cars and was especially fond of Ford trucks.

The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Pastor Tim Sandy will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
