Obituary for Silas Leroy “Bud” Jackson Silas Leroy “Bud” Jackson formerly of Annapolis, MO passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the age of 84 years, 8 months, and 10 days. He was born February 5, 1934 in Annapolis, MO to the late Crayton Silas Jackson and Verna Mann Jackson and raised by his father and second mother Helen Bridenthal Jackson. On May 2, 1953 Bud, as he was known by everyone, was united in marriage to Elizabeth Terrell who survives.

To this union two children were born; Vic (Donna) Jackson of Annapolis, and Richard Leroy Jackson. Bud is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth, his son Vic (Donna) Jackson of Annapolis, two brothers; Jim (Anita) Jackson of Claremore, OK, and Dr. John (Paula) Jackson of Farmington, two sisters; Virginia “Pal” Dinkins formerly of Annapolis, and Elaine (Rev. Eddie) Bone of Park Hills, three grandchildren; Kendra (Kenny) Berkbuegler, Damon Jackson, and Jerod Jackson, two great-grandchildren; Jackson and Holden, and many other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his three parents, a son Richard Jackson, a sister Anita Jackson who passed in infancy, and a brother-in-law Clyde Dinkins. Bud graduated from Annapolis High School in 1952 and worked for himself in his grocery store, Jackson’s IGA and then several years for Holsum Bread Company. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and member of the Hopewell Lodge in Lesterville, MO, and also a member of the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Park Hills.

A Life Celebration will be held for Bud on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm from the Cole Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, October 15, 2018 from 11:00 am lasting until 2:00 pm. Interment will follow the services in the Annapolis Cemetery.

Rev. Curtis Gwartney and Rev. Mike Harrison will be officiating the services.
