Mr. Skylar Matthew Allen Maupin, 21, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Bloomington. He was the son of Amber (Maupin) Smith and Corey Robbins. Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday, January 23 at 11 am with Revs.

Ralph Blomenberg, Philip Bloch and Jimmy Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday from 4-8 pm and Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church from 10 am until time of service.

Skylar was very close to his extended family; his grandmothers, aunts and uncles considered him as close as a child. He loved sports, especially baseball, basketball and football. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church; but was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he attended school and church.

He was active in Youth Ministries while attending Immanuel Lutheran School, and was in Cub Scouts. Skylar enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He never missed a family gathering and was always willing to do anything for his family and friends.

He was a student at Ivy Tech in Bloomington, where he was a member of the Dean’s List. He is survived by his parents; maternal grandmother, Susan Kay Durham Maupin; paternal grandmother, Tammy Edwards; aunts and uncles, James Collier, Stacie Durham, and Craig (Patty) Durham; brothers, Jaden Smith, Nicholas Robbins and Cole Robbins; sisters, Paige Smith and Brooklyn Robbins; and cousins, Hannah Durham and Seirra (Brandon) Price. He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Meredith and Edna Durham.
