Stanley L. Catherman, 87, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest at 9:15 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2019, at Maria Hall, Danville. He was born November 17, 1931, in Millmont, a son of the late Edward and Grace (Dorman) Catherman. Stanley served eight years in the Navy during the Korean War until he was honorably discharged.

He was employed as a truck driver at Wood-Mode, Kreamer, for 23 years, until he retired in 1994. Stanley was a member of Mifflinburg VFW Post 1964 and Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410. Surviving are his companion of nine years, Betty Brouse of Selinsgrove; one daughter and son-in-law, Roxann and Charles Lauver of Winfield; one son, Stanley L. Catherman, II, and his girlfriend Susan Guyer of Millmont; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Pat Catherman of Mena, Arkansas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jean and Skip Herrold of Hartleton, Jane Hendricks of Laurelton, and Norma and Harold Hackenberg of Laurelton; six grandchildren, Jasmine Fuller, Seth Lauver, Nathan Lauver, Daphne Martin, April Curry, and Cody Catherman; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Guy and Neil Catherman; and three sisters, Donna Hackenberg, Linda Walter and Phyllis Hursh. Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd. , Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be conducted at 7, with Pastor Richard DeVett, officiating.
