Stanley Ray Hall, age 67, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Friday, September 7, 2018 at Mission Hospital-McDowell. A lifelong resident of McDowell County, North Carolina, born November 10, 1950, he was the son of the late William J. Hall and Myrtle Cable Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A lifetime member of East Marion United Methodist Church, he had been recently attending Bethel Baptist Church in Glenwood. Stanley enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved spending quality time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gail Miller Hall of the home; one son, Brian Hall and his special friend, Robert Turner of Marion; and one daughter Brandi Stevens and her husband, Michael; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who were all special to Stanley.

He is also survived by his special canine companion, Rex. A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Upton and Rev.

Bill Dages officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Hall’s memory are asked to consider a charity of one’s choice.
