ADENIYI, Stella (Derefaka), R.N., 60, of Pepin Street, West Warwick, passed away Saturday evening, May 5, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the Coventry Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of Adebayo G. Adeniyi. Born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Hannah (Idasime) Derefaka.

She lived in Providence before moving to West Warwick in 2000. Stella was a registered nurse at the Eleanor Slater Hospital in Cranston for twenty seven years. Besides her husband she leaves seven children and their spouses, Beauty Derefaka Adeyele and her husband Rasheed, Victor Derefaka and his wife Harriet, Rasheed Saliu, Tajudeen Saliu, Abimbola Johnson, Ayoola Johnson and Hannah Derefaka; four siblings, Mark Derefaka, Samson Derefaka, Beatrice Derefaka and Esther Derefaka Ajao; five grandchildren, Shania Derefaka, Tayo Amari Omodunbi, Jr., Victoria, Gideon and Hannah Derefaka and four nieces and nephews, George Derefaka, Anita Ogio, Rufus Ogio and Priye Derefaka.

Visitation and funeral will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 from 9:00-10:00 am in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 10:00 am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society, RI Chapter, 931 Jefferson Blvd.
