PATNODE, Dorothy E., (Congdon), 97, of Pierce Street, Coventry, passed away Thursday morning, May 31, 2018 at home. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Patnode. A lifelong resident of Coventry, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Delvina (Chabot) Congdon.

Mrs. Patnode was a seamstress in the textile industry for 35 years before retiring in 1984. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. She is survived by two grandsons, Wade D. Congdon and Edward R. Congdon, Jr. both of West Warwick; three grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Edward R. Congdon, Sr. and Bruce W. Patnode, sister of the late Alice Fellella and Ernest Congdon and grandmother of the late Celeste Congdon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 60 Pleasant Street, West Warwick. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick.
