Albert D. Ruzzo, Jr., 83, of Providence Street, West Warwick, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry. A lifelong resident of West Warwick, he was the son of the late Albert D. Ruzzo, Sr. and Domenica C. (DiCarlo) Ruzzo. Mr. Ruzzo was the proprietor of the former Marc One Coin Company in West Warwick and Wakefield for many years before retiring.

Previously he was a salesman with the former Fiore Pontiac Dealership in West Warwick. Al served on the West Warwick Town Council for several years and elected president for a term and served in the US Army. In his youth, he excelled at basketball and played with the Westcott Athletic Association.

He was an avid sports fan especially the New York Yankees. He is survived by a brother, David Ruzzo of West Warwick; a sister-in-law, Virginia Ruzzo and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Cosmo “Tex” Ruzzo, Robert Ruzzo, William Ruzzo and Grace Behannon.

A private family visitation will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 am.
