Stella Mae Reeves Mullis, age 84 of West Jefferson, died Tuesday, February 27, 2019 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Mullis was born June 30, 1934 in Ashe County to the late Coy and Lear Combs Reeves. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Avery” Mullis, son, Billy Mullis, brothers, Robert Reeves and Gene Reeves, sister, Annie Ham and two infant siblings.

Mrs. Mullis retired from Thomasville Furniture. She loved listening to country oldies. She was fun loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved pet “Sassy” Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.

J. D. Walton and Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in the West Jefferson City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM Friday, March 1st at Badger Funeral Home. Mrs. Mullis is survived by, sons, Dale Mullis of West Jefferson and Jerry Mullis of Newland, daughters, Linda Mullis of West Jefferson and Shirley Tincher of Jefferson, sister, Barbara Barlow of Valdese, brothers, Roger Reeves of Valdese and Billy Reeves of Lincolnton, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
