Steven’s Obituary Steven “Steve” Craig Johnson, age 72, passed away from this life on January 14, 2019 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Ok. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 20, 2019, 1 pm to 6 pm with family to greet friends from 2 pm to 4 pm at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, January 21, 2019, 11 am at Limestone Baptist Church, 3609 S 137th West Ave, Sand Springs, OK 74063. Steve was born on June 20, 1946 in Denison, Texas to his parents Marland and Bonnie (Adamson) Johnson. Shortly after receiving his education, Steve began his service to the United States Navy which took place from May 26, 1964 to June 28, 1967.

Later in life, he then enlisted with the Air National Guard from March 9, 1990 to March 8, 1999. Steve worked as a produce manager for Safeway and Homeland for over 31 years. He married the love of his life, Marcella Gail Spears, on May 16, 1970 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and they have shared 48 years together.

He served as a deacon with his church, Limestone Baptist Church. Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather who cherished his family dearly and the moments they spent together. He is preceded in passing by his parents Moreland and Bonnie Johnson and his brother Michael Johnson.

Steve is survived by his wife Marcella Gail Johnson, his son Philip Johnson, his daughter Cara Johnson, his sisters-in-law Janice Thompson and Karen Johnson, his grandchild Addison Johnson and numerous other nieces, nephews, and close friends and family.
