Steven “Steve” T. King passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Steve was born August 31, 1962 in Rockford, IL, son of Thomas King and Mildred (Bronson, King) Peterson. He graduated from Page Park School in 1980.

Steve was involved in the Special Olympics including bocce ball, bowling, softball, snow shoeing, volley ball, and basketball. Steve also loved socializing, talking on the phone, and hanging with friends. He will be dearly missed. Steve is survived by his mother, Mildred (Lou) Peterson; sister, Penny Richardson; nephews, Tony Garner and Miles Garner.

Predeceased by his father, Thomas; sister, Toni; nephew, Seth Garner. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. , Rockford, IL 61108.
