Obituary for Susan T. Jones Susan T Jones (formerly Bucko) 61 of Stroudsburg passed away Tuesday January 1 2019. She was the devoted wife of Larry M Jones of Stroudsburg for 38 years. Born November 29, 1957 in Bethlehem PA, she was the daughter of late Joseph A Bucko and Agnes Bucko.

Susan was a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School class of 1975. Susan was currently employed at Colonial Academy in Wind Gap PA and formally an insurance agent in the Pocono’s for over 30 years. Music was always a big part of Susan’s life at the early ago of three she was already playing the piano.

In her growing years she was the pianist for the singing group The Bucko Sisters which consisted of her and her sisters. The group sang at local venues, festivals and toured the east coast. In her adult years she was the main entertainment playing for weddings, country clubs, playing for private parties, and at local restaurants within the Pocono’s.

Her musical talents were beyond measure as she played everything mostly by ear and rarely read sheet music. Susan was an active member of The Church of Saint Luke in Stroudsburg and for over 25 years played for the children’s choir and youth orchestra along with occasionally playing for weekly Masses and Novena’s. Surviving along with her loving husband Larry and mother Agnes, are her two children Marlo Jones and her husband Jeffrey Delp of Stroudsburg PA and Michael Jones of Brooklyn NY, her three sisters Eileen Townsend-Bucko of Wake Forest NC, Cecilia Hostetler and husband Larrie Hostetler of Suwanee GA, Mary Ebanks of Lehighton PA, along with many in-laws, nieces, and nephews and her beloved granddogs Crew and Lily.

There will be a viewing on Monday January 7, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at Joseph J Pula Funeral Home 23 N. 9th Street Stroudsburg, PA 18360, and on Tuesday from 9-10am at Saint Luke’s Catholic Church 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 followed by a mass of Christian burial. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Portland, PA. www.
