Obituary for Sylvia Ann Meade Sylvia Ann Hunt Meade, 55, of Danville, VA, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2018 after bravely fighting cancer for three years. She was born on July 17, 1962 in Barbados, West Indies, to the late Frank and Juanita Hunt, who survives. She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Sammy Meade, and two daughters, Hollye Keesee (Daniel) of Chatham, Virginia; Ashlee Hudgins (Daniel) of Ringgold, Virginia; along with three grandsons, Aidan and Jacob Hudgins and Elijah Keesee; brother Frank Hunt, Jr (Susan) of Chatham, Virginia; and their children Rebecca and Tanner Hunt.

Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, was the missions secretary, an active member of the Relay for Life team and helping anywhere needed. The family would like to say a special thank you to the nurses at Ravenal Oncology Center; Wendy, Vera, Brenda and Ashley for the excellent care that she received over the last two years.

Sylvia was blessed to have as her “extra set of parents” Danny and Mary Pike who meant so much to her. Funeral services will be conducted on Sun. , April 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with interment at Highland Burial Park, with Pastor Eric Curtis and Brother Daryl Hancock officiating.

A visitation will be Sat. night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Hollye Keesee, at 590 Happy Lane, Chatham, VA 24531. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Children’s Bible Camp, P.O Box 35, Dry Fork, VA 24549.
