Obituary for Ted Scheaffer Ted W. Scheaffer, 85, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 in the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born October 26, 1932 in Shippensburg, PA. Ted was a son of the late Blake and Dorothy Tarner Scheaffer.

He retired from the Shippensburg University where he was a painter. Ted served with the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Hub City Club, Minnequa Social Club, Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 and the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 all in Shippensburg.

Ted was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife Melva J. Peiper Scheaffer; one daughter, Annette P. (Gregg) Feie; one son Ted W. (Gloria) Scheaffer, Jr.; three grandchildren, Gregory & Dillon Feie and Corey Scheaffer; two great-grandchildren, Brayden Saam and Alice Evans; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Scheaffer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. John A. Ile, Jr. Burial with military honors will be conducted in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
