Terry was born December 18, 1961 in Halifax County to the late Jimmy Allen Buckner and Frances Simmons Buckner. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She loved the beach, mountains and playing bingo. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. Terry is survived by her husband Ronald J. Grant, Jr.; her son, R.J. Grant; her daughter, Brandi Grant and her fiancé J.W. Jenkins all of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Jesse Grant, Ronald J. “Grant” Grant, IV, Taylor Wheeler Lee and her husband Todd and Chasity Lynn Wheeler; her step-grandchildren, Dillon Jenkins and Brantly Jenkins; her great-grandson, Todd Aaron Lee, Jr.; her brother, Jimmy Allen Buckner and his wife Danita of Clayton; her mother-in-law, Patsy Grant Vaughan; her brother-in-law, Rusty Grant; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 15, 2019 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Russ Collins officiating. The family will receive friends other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Online condolences may be sent to www. hockadayfs.com.
