DON TERRY “TURTLE” REAVES age 57, of 158 Sunset Drive, Milton, NC died Tuesday afternoon, January 22, 2019 at his home. Mr. Reaves was born March 14, 1961 in Person County, NC son of the late Johnny Junior Reaves, Lula Inez Napier Reaves Holbrook & Chester Holbrook, and was husband of 20 years to Pamela Ann Whitfield Reaves who survives. He was a painter, and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Allen Reaves, two step-children, Randy Walker & wife, Jessica, Jennifer Whitehead & husband, Ryan, three grandchildren, Jacob Walker, Samantha Walker, Carson Whitehead, four sisters, Valerie Whitfield, Darlene Rudder, Elizabeth Owen, Stephanie Holbrook-Reaves & husband, Phillip, brother, Kevin Reaves, sister-in-law, Marie Martin & husband, Glenn, brother-in-law, Henry Whitfield and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Reaves is preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Ray Reaves. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev.

David Bunch and Mr. Glenn Martin officiating. The family will receive friends and guests for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
