Thelma’s Obituary A graveside ceremony honoring and remembering the life of Thelma Aline Kearney will be held 1 PM Monday, April 1, 2019 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore. Rev. Pennelope Larosa will be officiating.

Thelma passed away Thursday, March 29, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born October 1, 1919 at Aspermont, Texas. She was the daughter of Josie and Rev.

Henry F. Smith. For many years she and her husband Howard, owned and operated the Kearney Real Estate office in Claremore. In her later years, Thelma worked for 15 years in the fabric department at Wal-Mart in Claremore.

She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her husband, Howard Kenneth Kearney; her daughter, Margaret Kay Pope; and her son, Howard Kenneth Kearney, Jr She is survived by her daughter, Jane Summerlin of Claremore, three granddaughters, Summer Summerlin Phillips and her husband, David of Claremore, Jami Summerlin of Adair, Oklahoma, Pennelope Larosa and husband Nick, of Dunedin, Florida, four great grandchildren, Jeremy Grodhaus of Tulsa, Chelsea Capps of Claremore, Giovanni Larosa and Juliana Larosa of Florida; and two great-great grandchildren, Jameson Capps and Ryker Capps of Claremore.
