Obituary for Thelma Williams Jensen (Williams) Thelma Williams Jensen, 97, of Reedville, Virginia passed away on December 13, 2018. She was born in Lanexa, Virginia in 1921, daughter of the late James K. Williams and Reubena Revere Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Norris (Edward); son, John Jensen (Betty); granddaughter, Stacy Norris; sister, Shirley Ramos and many devoted nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Leif Juel Jensen and sister, Lillian Slosjarik. After WWII, Leif and Thelma started their own business, a machine and welding shop, Jensen Mfg. Company, which operated for 59 years.
Thelma and Leif had enjoyed many years of fishing and boating in Reedville since the 1950s and traveling across country in their camper before retiring to Reedville in 1990. Thelma was also very active in the Chesapeake Bay Garden Club and Bethany United Methodist Church in Reedville where she was a member of the Rebekah Circle. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, Virginia.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p. m. Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will take place Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Hospice, 289 Hospital Road, Tappahannock, VA 22560.
