THERESA NICHOLAS Theresa Nicholas (nee Krasucki), devoted mother and grandmother, passed away on June 22, 2018 at her home in Iselin, NJ. She was 99 years old. Born in Newark NJ, she grew up and lived for many years in Linden before moving to Iselin 64 years ago.

Tess enjoyed keeping busy. She worked at Bambergers before it became Macy’s in Plainfield and Menlo Park, and in her later years volunteered for Meals-on-Wheels and The Metlar-Bodine House Museum in Piscataway where she was a Fellowship for Metlar House trustee emeritus. However, her greatest and most treasured accomplishment, and where she dedicated most of her time and energy, was to her immediate and extended family.

Theresa was predeceased by her loving husband George C. Nicholas and her sisters Sophie Poli, Loretta Allen and Mary Kuspiel. She is survived by her daughters Saundra Saflarske, Junelynn Sadlowski, her five grandchildren; Joseph Saflarske, Ruthlynn-Saflarske Dyke, John Saflarske, Dawn Sadlowski-Buisserez and Amy Sadlowski-Cobb, her six great grandchildren; Justin Saflarske, Austin Saflarske, Nicole Langel-McKenna, Laura Buisserez, Anais Buisserez and Samuel Cobb and her great-great grandchild Madeline McKenna. Visitation with prayer service will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road, Edison, NJ.

Interment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s memory may be made to Kindred Hospice, 242 Old New Brunswick Rd. , Suite 140; the Metlar-Bodine House Museum, 1281 River Road Piscataway, NJ 08854; and, the Woodbridge Garden Club, Iselin Branch Library, Green Street, Iselin, NJ 08830.
