Thomas Earl Crane, 89, of Escondido, CA passed away May 11, 2019 at his residence. Tom was born December 29, 1929 in Waldo, AR and joined the United States Navy at an early age. He served for 23 years, serving both in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He retired with the rating of HMC. After his naval service he worked as a supervisor for the United States Postal Service. Tom is preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Iva (Flaherty) Crane; son John Michael Crane; daughter Valerie Crane Viseth; sister Betty Lou Crane; and brother Robert Neil Crane.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jane Crane, son Kevin Crane, daughter Jeannie Crane, and step daughter Stephanie Sandberg of Escondido, CA; sisters Joyce Crane and Judy Munn of Magnolia, AR; grandchildren Jennifer Viseth and Travis Viseth of Escondido; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Shiloh Cemetery with Mike Munn officiating. The family requests memorial donations are made to the Stewpot, 320 West Main St., Magnolia, AR 71753.
