Thomas Lee McCloskey, 77, of Kittanning Pike, Chicora, passed away Wednesday evening, October 24, 2018 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Thomas was born in Petrolia on January 12, 1941. He was the son of the late Grant and Helen Schneider McCloskey.

He was a 1958 graduate of Fairview Twp. Karns City High School and had served in the Army National Guard. He was a life member of the Chicora Moose Lodge and a member of the NRA.

He had enjoyed golfing with his brother, Bob, and babysitting his great nieces and nephews, whom he affectionately referred to as “The McFarland 6”. Tom retired in 1999 following 40 years of service from Witco, now Sonneborn, in Petrolia. He is survived by his wife, Bernadette M. Bedner McCloskey, whom he married at St. Patrick Church in Brady’s Bend on October 2, 1970.

Also surviving is a brother, Joseph McCloskey and his wife Evelyn, of Chicora; a sister, Ruth Ann Fleeger and her husband, David, of Karns City; a sister-in-law, Janice Bishop and her husband, Robert, of Karns City; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Bishop, Jacquelyn Bishop and her husband, Joseph Fetchko, Jacob and Darcie Bishop, Jedidiah and Erin Bishop, Joshua and Ashley Bishop, Jolena and T.J. McFarland, Jocelyn and Jeremiah Spiga, Kim Davis, Helen Frances Bellucci, Michelle Bellucci, Michael McCloskey, Sharon Ann Moyer and her husband, Paul, and Zachary Fleeger; his great nieces and nephews, Joseph, Jackson and Jace Bishop, Mara Bishop, Avah, Emma, and Cora Bishop, Trinity, Ty, Tristan, Theresa, Thaddeus, and Tayden McFarland, Grey and Violet Spiga, Matthew and Marc Bellucci, and Dalton Moyer, as well as a number of cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert McCloskey, three nephews, Matthew and Robert McCloskey, John Bedner II, and a great nephew, John Bedner III. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Rt.

68 in Brady’s Bend, with the Rev. John Butler, church pastor, officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Chicora, East Brady, and Brady’s Bend will be in Hillview Cemetery, Village of Kepples Corners.
