Thomas Leroy Hagan, 83, of Bloomfield, passed away Monday January 28, 2019 at his residence. He was born January 28, 1936 at his home in Spencer County to the late Thomas “Tommy” Benton Hagan and Mary Stella Downs Hagan. Leroy was a long time farmer, owner of Big Top Tobacco Warehouse in Shelbyville, and an antique dealer.

He was a charter member of Wakefield Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 58 years, a U.S Army Veteran, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a loving husband and is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Monroe Hagan; one son, Craig (Karen) Hagan of Bloomfield; one daughter, Rhonda (Keith) McGill of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Bethany Walton, Thomas Joseph “T. J” Hagan, Benton and Barrett McGill; four great-grandchildren, Hallie and Jaxon Hagan, Kylie and Keegan Walton; brother, Charles Larry (Brenda) Hagan; several nieces, nephews, and many friend; and his dog Queen.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday February 2, 2019 at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bro. Tom Sparrow and Bro.

Roger Hodge will officiate. Visitation will be 3-8 pm Friday February 1 and 9-11 am Saturday February 2 at Barlow Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at Wakefield Baptist Church.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
