Hagerstown, Maryland-Thomas Otis Myers, 78 of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Williamsport, MD passed away on Sunday May 26, 2019 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD. Born October 12, 1940 in Williamsport, MD he was the son of the late Charles Andrew and Martha Esther Stenger Myers. He was a 1958 graduate of Williamsport High School and served in the United States Army.

In his younger years he worked at Cushwa Brick and Kesselring’s Nursery. He retired from Mack Trucks Inc. in 2001 after 36 years. Tom was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir.

He was a member of American Legion Post #202 Williamsport, MD where he was Past Commander, on the Last Man’s Club, Forty and Eight, and was the Finance Officer for many years. He was also a member of Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM, Williamsport, MD, AMVETS Post #38 Falling Waters, WV, Moose Lodge #2462 Williamsport, MD and UAW Local #171 Hagerstown, MD. He loved to sing, go hunting fishing and golfing, loved going to the beach and spending time with his family.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Sandy Myers, sons Charles A. “Chick” Myers and wife Polly of Falling Waters, WV, Tommy Myers and wife Anita of Williamsport, MD and Jack C. Myers and wife Robin of Hagerstown, MD, a daughter Tahnee L. Matthews and husband Ben of Fairplay, MD, a sister Harriette Bowers of Williamsport, MD, a brother Jack Myers and wife Mary Jo of Hagerstown, MD, mother in law Dolly Gray of Williamsport, MD, sister in laws Amy Myers of Williamsport, MD and Kay Fleming of Hedgesville, WV, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews cousins and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Daisy Moser, Fay Stenger, Dorine Wood, Zola Kesselring, Reba Fazenbaker and Ivy Warner and brothers Charles Myers, Robert Myers, James Myers and William Myers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 29, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD 21795.

For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will open Wednesday at 9:00am. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 30, 2019 at 11:00am at the Osborne Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ray Roberson officiating.

Military honors will be provided. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Doey’S House 747 Northern Ave.
