Obituary for Timothy Gracey Timothy J. Gracey, 77, of Skelp died Wednesday June 6, 2018. He was born January 14, 1941 in Altoona, a son of Joseph L. and Dora K. (Whittaker) Gracey. On August 14, 1965 at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona he married Alma J. Steinbeiser.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter Melinda Newman and husband Dan of Saline, Michigan, two grandchildren, Clay and Ella Newman and a brother Joseph B. “Skip” Gracey and wife Linda of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a brother Andrew. Mr. Gracey retired in 2004 from Norfolk Southern as a trackman following 38 years service.
He had been a deputy for the Pennsylvania Fish Commission for 23 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed reading and photography.
Alma is deeply grateful for her siblings, the Steinbeiser family, for their caring, help and support during Tim’ illness. Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Saturday June 16, 2018 from 10 A.M. until the Memorial Service at 11 A.M. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bellwood-Antis Public Library, 824 E. Main St., Bellwood, Pa. 16617.
