Obituary for Timothy Gilbert Timothy Lee Gilbert, age 55, of Granite Falls passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 16, 1962 in Caldwell County, son of Margie Burns Gilbert and the late Billy Lee Gilbert. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Violet Gilbert and his maternal grandparents, Claude and Daisy Seagle.
Mr. Gilbert enjoyed playing guitar, drawing, carpentry and was an avid outdoorsman. He was an upholsterer in the furniture industry. Those left to cherish his memory is his mother Margie Gilbert of Granite Falls, a son, Shea Gilbert (fiancé Myrinda Bryant) of Hickory, a brother, Larry Gilbert (Sherry) of Hickory, granddaughter, Madalyn Gilbert and a grandson, Joseph Trivette.
Also surviving are nieces, Alyssa Gilbert and Kristin Townsend (Eyan) and nephew, Josh Gilbert (Dena) as well as great niece Skye Gilbert. The Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Home and the Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18 at 11:00 AM at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Don Ingle and Rev.
Gordon West. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mackie Funeral Home of Granite Falls, NC is serving the family.
