Obituary for Billy Ray Hinson Billy Ray Hinson, age 64, of Granite Falls passed away on December 28, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1954 in Lincoln County, son of the late Ray Von Hinson and Dollie Francis Slaughter Hinson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Hinson.
Mr. Hinson was a self-employed insurance agent and a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 32 years, Peggy Simmons Hinson of the home, four children, Shane Hinson of Hudson, Aaron Cantelmo (Miranda Crisp) of Gamewell, Chasty Stallings and Kayla Wood (Dillan Parker) of Hudson. Five grandchildren survive Mr. Hinson, Gavin Holden, Sierra Hinson, Aubrey Parker, Mia Cantelmo and Ivy Parker.
He also leaves behind sisters, Debra Hinson, Roberta Sigmon (Melvin) and Delores Garrison as well as a sister-in-law, Deborah Hinson and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Mackie Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 AM with the Service to follow in the Mackie Chapel at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Mark Crump of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
