Obituary for Doris Nelson (Gilbert) Doris Nelson, age 71, of Hudson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Nelson was born in Johnson County, Tennessee on March 3, 1947 to the late Daily Gilbert and Louise Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy McGee and Lisha Henderson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ronald Nelson of the home, two sons, Eric Todd Henderson of the home and Tracy Shawn Henderson of Statesville, two brothers, Jimmy Gilbert of Lenoir and Roger Gilbert of Wilkesboro and a sister, Sandy Williams of Lenoir. The family will receive friends at Mackie Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 with the Service to follow in the Mackie Chapel at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Devin Severt.
