Obituary for Evelyn Francis Hemstreet (Gould) Evelyn Hemstreet, age 92, of Lenoir, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Hickory Falls Health and Rehab. She was born June 29, 1926, in Van Buren, MI. She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Bessie Gould.
Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Jeanne Knight (Barry Wise) of Lake Placid, FL; three granddaughters, Shannon Pokrandt of Lenoir, Kati Lockhart (Anthony) of Lenoir, and Brandi Bumgarner (Gwyn) of Hudson; one grandson, Bradd Higginbotham (Kem) of Lenoir. The family will receive friends Friday, October 19, 2018, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at Mackie Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be in the chapel at 6:30 PM with Rev.
Anthony Lockhart officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
