Obituary for John Pervy Hilton John Pervy Hilton, age 81, of Granite Falls went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice of Lenoir. He was born October 16, 1937, son of the late Ray J. Hilton and Clara Leigh Jones Hilton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Betty Elmore Hilton and a brother, Max Hilton.
Mr. Hilton was past Master of Hickory Masonic Lodge #343, Catawba Shrine Club and Shriners International and served in the US Army as part of the military police. He was retired as owner and operator of Hilton’s Greenhouse. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda Hilton of the home; two daughters, Elechia Wimbish (Don) of Granite Falls, Anna Boarman (Gary) of Nebo; grandchildren, Kelly Johnston (Alan), Jill Huffman, Shelle Helton (Jerrat), Grant Wimbish (Hayley), Josh Wimbish (Crystal), Emma Dula, and Sean Ruddy and Mr. Hilton’s sister-in-law, Merlene Hilton and her son Kip Hilton (Alicia).
He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren. The Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November, 14, 2018 from 12:00-1:00 PM at Grace Chapel United Methodist Church. The Service will follow at 1:00 PM with Don Wimbish to officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by DAV Chapter 6 and Masonic Rites by Hickory Masonic Lodge 343. Pallbearers will be Grant Wimbish, Josh Wimbish, Alan Johnston, Gary Boarman, Sean Ruddy and Jerrat Helton.
