Obituary for Josephine Price Richards Granite Falls – Josephine Price Richards, of Morganton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 23, 2018, at the Burke Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born November 19th, 1940 and was the daughter of Mote Price and Lola Reid Price. Ms. Richards worked in the Textile industry for Shuford Mills.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her grandson Jimmy Wayne McBee, and her 5 brothers. Survivors include her children Jimmy Richards(Trina) of Shelby, Gary Richards of North Wilkesboro, Robert Richards(Shanda) of West Jefferson, Melanie Richards of Hickory, Sharon McNeil(Bryan) of Granite Falls, Susan Hendrix(Thomas) of Hickory, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Shirley Richards of Granite Falls and Edna Ingle of Hudson.
A visitation is planned for Wednesday, November 28th at Mackie Funeral Home from 2:00-3:00 P.M. and the Funeral Service is at 3:00 with the Rev. Calvin Hargett officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hills Cemetery.
