Obituary for Pauline Gladys Childers (Ward) Pauline Gladys Childers, age 85, of Lenoir went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her home. She was born August 2, 1933, daughter of the late Lewis and Elenore Hunt Ward. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Horace G. Childers Jr; one brother, Samuel Lewis Ward; two sisters, Betty Starnes and Carolyn Causby.
Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Michael David Childers (Mynra) of Hudson, Terry Lee Childers (Joyce) of Lenoir, Timothy H. Childers (Jennifer) of Hudson; one daughter, Robin Hollis (Clarence) of Lenoir; four sisters, Kate Armenchain of Cherokee, Clara Sullivan (Jim) of New Mexico, Mildred Cook of Baton, Ruby Marshall (Robert) of Granite Falls; one brother John Henry Ward of SC. A Graveside Service will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 2:00 PM at Sunset Hills Cemetery with Rev. Devin Severt officiating.
