Obituary for Tondra S. “Toni” Rausch Tondra Sue “Toni” Rausch, age 70, died unexpectedly on November 1, 2018. Toni was born and raised in Napoleon, OH and was a graduate of Napoleon High School, Class of 1966. She received her RN diploma from Parkview School of Nursing, Fort Wayne, IN and her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Franklin University in Columbus, OH.
Toni was a faithful member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church and also belonged to the Napoleon High School Alumni Association, Parkview School of Nursing Alumni Association, and was a prior member of the Clintonville Community Band. Toni loved people and spent her career and much of her retirement years helping others through volunteer work at Maple Grove, Riverside Methodist Hospital and The Forum at Knightsbridge. Her career included: Emergency Room nurse at OSU hospitals and as a hospice nurse and then she greatly enjoyed time as a Paramedic instructor for the Columbus Division of Fire and as a CPR instructor.
Preceded in death by parents, James and Emily Rausch. Survived by sisters, Diane Huffman of Bowling Green, OH, Patricia (Art) Rottenbiller of Worthington, OH; brother, David (Deidra) Rausch of Zionsville, IN; nieces and nephews, Benjamin (Becca) Huffman, Anna (Jake) Wilson, Michael and Erich Rottenbiller, Taylor (David) Meehan, Meredith (Thomas) Mershon and James Rausch; 9 great nieces and nephews; and many friends from every part of her life. Friends may call Monday, November 5th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 6th at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 7 W. Henderson Road, Columbus, OH. Graveside service and Interment 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7th at Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maple Grove United Methodist Church.
