Travis Young, Sr, 85, of Magnolia, AR passed away Tuesday , February 26, 2019 at the Wentworth Place in Magnolia, AR. Travis was born on August 12, 1933 in Waldo, AR to the late Ernest and Sally Faye (Dennis) Young. He was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church and served his country as a Paratrooper in the United States Army.

He worked for Columbia Packing as a meat cutter for 25years, delivered the Arkansas Democrat Gazette for 25 years, and operated the Laundry Mat on South Jackson for 25 years. Travis was preceded in death by his parents; sister Bonnie Young; and brothers, Ernest Young, Cecil Young, and Tommy Young. He is survived by his wife Inez Young of Mc Neil, AR, son James Travis Young, Jr. and wife Rosa of Mc Neil, AR, grandchildren, Heather Parris and husband Justin of Judsonia, AR and Brandi Manuel and husband Chris of Mc Neil, AR; and great grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, Heidi, Isabella, and Sofia.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the New Hope Cemetery with his son James Travis Young, Jr. officiating, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations are sent to Hebron Baptist Church, 207 Walnut Street, Mc Neil, AR 71752.
