OBITUARY Troy L. Griffith Jr. May 5, 1948 – September 28, 2018 Troy Lation Griffith, Jr., age 70, of Adairsville, Georgia. passed away on Friday September 28, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Troy was born May 5, 1948, in Lafayette, GA, to Dorothy Loggins Griffith and Troy L. Griffith, Sr. Troy is survived by his wife Tamara Lynn Chamlee Griffith, son Troy L. “Tripp” Griffith, III, daughter Traci Lynn Griffith Newman, and son-in-law Yale Gregory Newman.

Troy was preceded in death by his father Troy L. Griffith, Sr. and his mother Dorothy Loggins Griffith. Troy was a sales manager for a national steel pipe manufacturing company for more than 40 years where he created many memories and made many friends through his travels and days working. He was a member of Pine Log United Methodist Church, loved to fish and golf, and loved to watch Atlanta sports teams play.

He was a selfless father who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife and children. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Pine Log United Methodist Church at three o’clock in the afternoon with the Rev. Zack Townsend officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Chuck Chamlee, Richard Gilbert, Lee Asbridge, Wayne Lancaster, Wade Wilson, Steve Vaughan, Joe MacDonald and Stanley Chesser. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Pine Log United Methodist Church from one o’clock in the afternoon until the service hour.
