JERSEY SHORE – Troy L. Lamey, 55, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport. He was born May 2, 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida and was the son of the late Carl E. Lamey and Juanieta M. (Clements) Lamey of Jersey Shore, who survives. In addition to his mother, Troy is survived by one son; Carl J. “C.J.” Rode of Gilbert, Arizona, one brother; Timothy L. Lamey (Mary) of Jersey Shore, two sisters; Tammie L. Baney of Dunnstown and Terry L. Mertz of Jersey Shore and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Troy was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School, class of 1981. He served in the US Army in El Paso, Texas. He loved to cook and got his start at Pittsburgh Arena, Denali National Park in Alaska, San Francisco and finally Hillside Senior Living Community Center, where he was well loved.

His passion was in music. He was a drummer in several rock bands over the years; Romeo, Chubby Kid Running and C4. He was also a former member of the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA) a living history medieval group.

He was an organ donor. There will be a public viewing 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. All other services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
