Tyler James Yates, 27, of Casper, Wyoming and formerly of Pueblo passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2018. He was born on January 5, 1991to James W. & Cherista (Martinez) Yates in La Junta. Tyler, a son, a brother, a friend.

Tyler was someone who was passionate about many things in life, and family being the biggest. He loved his dog, his truck, and most of all spending time with those closest to him. He is survived by his father, James (Carrie) Yates of Pueblo; mother,… Read More » Cherista Martinez of La Junta; siblings, Nicholas (Melissa) Yates of Chesapeake, VA; Emma Magdaleno of Las Vegas, NV and Brianna Borja of La Junta; grandparents, Linda (Larry) Hall of Swink; Roy Martinez of La Junta and Rosanne Yates of Lamar; nephew, Oliver Yates; uncles, Steve (Irma) Yates and Roy (Tracey) Martinez.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Yates and grandmother, Katherine Martinez. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Church in Swink with Ron Skorick of the First Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be held prior to service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. also at the church.

Military Honors by the Rocky Ford Rifle Team, American Legion Post #8. Those wishing to do so may make memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Foundation direct or through the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.
