Verna Ann Sadelson, 60, passed away April 18, 2018, at Four Seasons Elizabeth House Hospice Care in Flat Rock. She was a native of Asheville and the daughter of the late Herbert A. and Doris B. Sadelson. Verna graduated from AB Tech with honors in the Business Management program in 1986, and retired from a career with Buncombe County Solid Waste in 2012.

Verna’s survivors include her husband, Charles Worley of Asheville; son Aaron Harris and his wife Tammy of Marshall; stepson Brandon Worley and his wife Kaitlyn of Canton; and brothers Dennis Sadelson and his wife Beth of Asheville and Gregg Sadelson and his wife Kathy of Midway, UT. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Verna was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her brother, Leslie E. Sadelson, and her first husband Ray Harris.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Woodfin Baptist Church, 55 Elkwood Ave. in Asheville, with the Rev. Tommy Crow officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Verna’s honor may be made to Memory Care, 100 Far Horizons Lane, Asheville, NC 28803. The family would like to thank Ms. Peggy Lackey for the loving care provided to Verna in the last years of her life.
