Obituary for Victor Geyer Victor H. Geyer, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2019, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was blessed with a long and healthy life until his final months. Victor was born in Flint, Michigan on March 9, 1926.

He worked for a time at AC Delco after high school then served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge in 1945. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1951 and married Marilyn Buchanan on April 18, 1953. Victor enjoyed a very long career at Ford Motor Company and shared many stories about his work on the suspension of the Falcon and Mustang.

He served his community in many ways, including volunteering at Veteran’s Administration Health System in Ann Arbor, Meals on Wheels of Ann Arbor, University Lutheran Chapel, St. Luke Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran School. Victor was a very devoted fan of University of Michigan sports, especially football. The Geyer household was a quiet place following a loss by the Wolverines.

He was an amateur photographer, an enthusiastic golfer and bicyclist, enjoyed assembling model airplanes and growing cherry tomatoes. He was blessed to have a close group of friends who gathered Thursday mornings to drink coffee and shoot the breeze and were by his side until the end. Victor is survived by his daughters, Vicki Isett, Julie Geyer and Jane Bien, his sons-in-law, David, Paul and Jeff, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn and his granddaughter, Annie. A private interment will take place on Tuesday. Victor was also known as Victor Schmictor The Weather Predictor, Pipi, Papa, and Dad.
