Obituary for Victor Wayne McElroy VICTOR WAYNE Mc ELROY Victor Wayne McElroy of Grandfield, Oklahoma entered this life born to Donald Wayne and Joyce Ellen (Woolsey) McElroy in Quanah, Texas on January 14,1958 and entered eternal life on May 3, 2018 in Grandfield, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years. Victor spent his childhood days in Moore Oklahoma and moved with his family to Wynnewood, Oklahoma in 1973. He graduated from Wynnewood High School and worked throughout his years in construction; with the exception of the last ten years when he was employed by Sooner Foods.
He was a great fan of watching old western movies particularly featuring John Wayne; reading Louis Lamour western books; fishing and just being “ornery”. He was a hard worker and taught others the importance of hard work; he possessed a tremendously disciplined memory and could repair anything. Victor is survived by: His Mother Joyce Van Buskirk of Wynnewood Son: Jason Wright (Heidi) of Davis Brother: Chris McElroy (Schelly) of Grandfield Sisters: Kathy McConnell of Grandfield Larralee Goodrich (Don) of Wynnewood 2-Grandchildren: Jaxon and Jameson Wright Also, many other extended family members.
Graveside funeral services for Victor are scheduled for Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Katie Cemetery with Rev. Mickey Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Katie Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
