Obituary for Victoria E. Sobkowicz Victoria E. Sobkowicz, 106, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Lutheran Home. Victoria was born on April 15, 1912, in Poland, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Gadziala) Klimaj. On August 26, 1933 she married John Stanley Sobkowicz in Holy Trinity Church, a blessed union of 65 years prior to his passing in 1998.

Victoria was a supervisor on the pant line at Duxbak in Utica. Surviving Victoria are her daughter, Elaine Berdel, New Hartford; grandson, William (Christine) Berdel and great grandson, Nicholas Gianotti. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, both in the United States and Poland.

Victoria was predeceased by her brother, Matthew; sisters, Helen and Gladys and son-in-law, Adam Berdel Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, , 470 French Rd. , Utica. Funeral services will commence at 10:30 a.m. from funeral home and 11:30 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Victoria’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
