Obituary of Albina Kisiel Albina Kisiel 1918 – 2018 Utica Albina Kisiel, 99, a longtime Utica resident passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home for CNY. She was born in Mosinee, WI on November 1, 1918 the daughter of Jozef and Zofia Waligora Zawislan and attended local schools. Albina was educated in Holy Trinity School and briefly attended Utica Free Academy.

On May 7, 1944 she was united in marriage to Stephen Kisiel in Holy Trinity Church, a blessed union of just over sixty one years until his passing on May 21, 2005. Albina, a full time mother and homemaker for most of her life, also was employed part time with the General Electric Co. and Divine Brothers. Her life was her family; she enjoyed playing golf with her siblings and friends, as well as Polka Dancing.

She was a former member of the New York Mills Seniors, the Mohawk Valley Polka League and a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church. In her last years she was a resident of the Sunset Woods Community in New Hartford. Her survivors include her son, Donald S. and his wife Bonnie Kisiel of Shoreham, NY, and their three children; Lara Asirvadem (Michael), Stephen Kisiel (Kristina), and Bryan Kisiel; a daughter, Rose Anne and her husband Fred Pushlar, of Syracuse, and their three children; Aimee Brainard (Jason), Kristopher Pushlar (Jennifer), and Andrew Pushlar (Tamie); and a daughter Dianne Canfield and her companion Lee Smith of Clinton, and her son; Jason Canfield (Laura).

She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren, Lucas, Noah and Juliana Kisiel, Kira and Catrina Brainard, Natalie and Amelia Pushlar, and Alexander and Sophia Pushlar, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, John Zawislan, Walter Zawislan, Edward Ziweslin and her sisters, Anna Wojtanowski and Rose Wojcik. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church.

Those who wish may call on Sunday from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave. , Utica, NY 13502. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
