Obituary for Violeta Kate “JoAnn” ton (Castle) Print JoAnn ton – Dungannon, VA Violeta “JoAnn” ton, 74, Dungannon, VA passed away, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. JoAnn was born in Dungannon, VA on November 17, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Thurman and Annie Eliza (Gibson) Castle. She was a retired C.N.A. with 22 years in the healthcare profession.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Charles Everett ton, Sr. (2014), and sisters, Margie Bishop and Willie ton. She is survived by her daughters, Allison (Lonnie) Lucas, Dungannon, VA and Pamela (Owen) Veazey, Hixson, TN; her adopted daughter, Charlotte (Jeffery) ton, Dungannon, VA; sons, Charles Everett (Jeanette) ton, Jr., Dungannon, VA and Joey Heath ton, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Veazey, Corey Veazey, Samantha Webb, Racheal Quillen, Heather Ervin, Sarah Trivette, Ryan Gilreath, Jessy ton, Amanda Hilliard, and Casey ton; great grandchildren, Lilian Murray, Evrin Veazey, Ian Webb, Alexis Ervin, Bentley Trivette, Parker Gilreath, Paisley Gilreath, Coda Gilreath, Owen and Nevaeh Lane, Emmalei ton, Grayson ton, Carter Hilliard, and Jaxon Hilliard; an expectant great granddaughter, Gabriella Kate; sisters, Juanita (Hascue) ton, Ft. Blackmore, VA and Bernice Quillen, Ft.

Blackmore, VA; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Rick Quillen and Pastor John Fultz officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Cox Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, VA. Dale Nuckels, Ryan Gilreath, Jessy ton, James Hale and friends will serve as pallbearers.
