Obituary for Virginia Eaton Virginia Eaton Age 94, passed away May 2, 2018 at home in Burdett surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on May 3, 1923 in Burdett, NY, the daughter of Leland and Veronica Arnold. She was a lifelong resident of Burdett.

She was also a lifelong member of the Burdett United Methodist Church and a supporter and member of numerous Schuyler groups and organizations. She is survived by her children, Sheryl Thurston (Linwood Standish) of Burdett, Debra McDonald of Sumter, SC, Wendy (Victor) Scuteri of Salisbury, NC; and L. Scott Welch (Melissa Bardeen) of Watkins Glen; brother, Willard (Marianne) Arnold of Virginia; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, and husband Roger Eaton (survivors include his children, Barbara (Ed) Smith of Vermont and Bill (Joan) Eaton of Indiana).

Also, predeceased by sister, Beverly Peyton; companion, Salvatore Chicone and her very close cousin (sister), Lois Phelps. The family will receive friends on Saturday (May 5th) from 1pm-3pm at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen; followed by a memorial service celebrating her life at 3:00pm and interment at the Union Cemetery of Hector in Burdett. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Burdett Fire Company, PO Box 238; Burdett, NY 14818.
