Frey, 80, Lake Mills, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek. She was born on February 23, 1939 in Madison, the daughter of the late John and Mable (Knickmeyer) Scheer. In 1957 she graduated from Madison East High School.

Ginny married Harley Frey on October 12, 1957. He died on November 3, 2017. Prior to her retirement she had been a bookkeeper for the Bank of Lake Mills.

She was a devoted member of the Lake Mills Moravian Church. Ginny was a devoted mother and grandmother, two of her most favorite names in life! Ginny enjoyed her retirement years, traveling with Harley and spending time with family and friends.

You could find Ginny playing cards, taking care of her grandchildren, or in Canada fishing with her family. Survivors include her two children, John (Laurie) of Waterloo, Nadine (Bryce) Lauer of Prairie du Sac; her daughter-in-law, Crystal Nipp of Cottage Grove; two grandchildren, Carson Lauer, Brett Lauer; one step grandson, Adam Zimmermann; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Birkrem of Waterloo, Rachel Frey of Lake Mills; a very large and extended Frey family and friends. Also preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Maggie and her son, Chris Frey.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Lake Mills Moravian Church. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the church and also after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the time of services. Burial will be in Kroghville Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Pam and Dawn for their exceptional care of Ginny over the last two years. We would also like to thank all of the friends and family who stepped in to help mom with her care, we could not have done it without you all. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the church or Rainbow Hospice Care of Jefferson.
