Virginia’s Obituary Glens Falls — Virginia H. Remington, 70, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, with her loved ones by her side. Born on November 19, 1948, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Frank Gates and Lillian Gardner. Throughout her life, Virginia found enjoyment in playing cards, collecting teddy bears and making people laugh.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her infant son, Joseph Remington, and her sisters, Violet Gates and Connie Stewart. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melissa Hill and her husband, James, Sharon Remington, Jerrie Shaw and her husband, Don, and Laurie Mumblo and her companion, Jim Blanchard; her son, Gerald Remington and his companion, April Gill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Frances Remington and Margrett Gates; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Virginia’s Life will be held on Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. at the family’s home, 13 Mallory Ave.
