Obituary for Virginia Lee Butler (Garrett) Virginia Lee Butler, 85, of Shinnston passed away on September 3, 2018 at Genesis Salem Center. She was born January 27, 1933, a daughter of the late Ira Garrett and Virginia Hearn Garrett. On February 24, 1951, she married Paul Butler and they resided in Shinnston for over 60 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her four children Danny Lee Butler and wife Sally; Paula Ann Barron and husband Gary; Barry Alan Butler and wife Brenda, Tina Lynn Edwards and Fiancé Howard Walls; Ten Grandchildren Aaron Koon and Fiancé Jade Ash; Jessica Seaver and husband Jon; Sean Butler and wife Tara; Brandi Butler and boyfriend Nick; Lauren Butler and Fiancé Jimi Moorehead; Nick Barron and wife Marissa; Brooke Terneus and husband Scott; Paige Hardman and husband Ryan; Brandon Butler; Jenna Lee Edwards; 19 great grandchildren Macey, Camden and Avarie Koon; Bryn, Emmett and Jack Seaver; Madi, Emilee, Kaycee, Madison, and Rowan Butler; Cohen, Chandley, and Chase Terneus; Chloe and Hayes Barron; Gage, Silas (Menendez) and Meadow Hardman; one special sister-in-law Joy Garrett of Bernus Point, NY; 2 Aunts Evelyn Williams and Jane Hearn, both of Shinnston. She was preceded in death by her two brothers George “Sonny” Garrett and Donald “Donnie” Garrett and wife Ruth Garrett and infant sister Frances Garrett. Virginia was a homemaker and worked at The Hat Shop in Shinnston.

She devoted her life to her family, and was happily married to her husband for over 67 years. She had a passion for bowling, watching golf, and never missed her soap operas. Friends and family will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St, Shinnston on Thursday September 6, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM and a Funeral service at 7:30 PM following the visitation with Pastor Laura Ringer and Pastor Sabrina Haught officiating.
