Obituary for Wilma Lea Williams Wilma Lea Williams, 84, went peacefully home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, Friday morning February 23, 2019 surrounded by friends and family in South Carolina. She was born June 1, 1934 in Boothsville, WV, a daughter of the late Paul Edward and Edna Mae Thompson Tonkery and step-mother Betty Tonkery. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Arlie Paul Williams whom she married on March 23, 1953; brothers Charles Tonkery, Junior Tonkery; infant daughters; Crystal Ann and Virginia Lea Williams.

Surviving are her daughters Cathy Williams, Beth Cohen and her husband Aaron; son Jackie Williams and his wife Becky; brothers James Tonkery and wife Sandy, Donald Tonkery and his wife Paula; step-sister Karen Morgan and her husband Bill; a special cousin and friend Vi Carder and Susan Hackett. Grandchildren; Crystal Smith, Andrew Smith, Rebecca Tarrant and her husband Joey, Jackie Williams II and his wife Jenna, Seth Williams and his wife Kuirsta, David Mason and his wife Ali, Daniel Mason and his wife Meghan, Ashlea Snell and her husband Tyler, Josh Mason, Stephen Mason and his wife Dianna, Caleb Mason, Alyssa Cohen and Alex Cohen. Great-Grandchildren; Bradyn Booone, Courtney Boone, Josh Smith, Ethan Tarrant, Olivia Tarrant, Aiden Williams, Reagan Williams, Greyson Williams, Declan Williams, Elijah Snell, Aleona Mason.

Wilma faithfully attended church and was a care taker of the elderly. She graduated from Bridgeport High School where she was a majorette and was an excellent student. Our family thanks you for your support and prayers through this very difficult time in our lives…Our entire family was grateful to have my mom in our lives for so many years…And we loved her very much…But we believe and know she has taken her place in heaven with my dad and Jesus.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St., Shinnston on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a funeral service on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM with her son Jack Williams officiating, Interment will following at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
