Virginia Whitley Eudy, 99, of Locust, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at Trinity Place in Albemarle. Mrs. Eudy was born February 7, 1919 to the late Temple Irenus and Jezabell Burris Whitley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carlie Lee Eudy; sons, Norman Eudy, Kent Eudy; daughter, Linda Coble and sister, Truley Burris.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Locust, 320 South Central Ave. , officiated by Rev.

Dr. Kinney Wallace and Rev. Tab Whitley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include:son, Reggie Eudy of Albemarle; Terry and wife Janice Eudy of Oakboro; son, Gerald Eudy of Concord; daughter, Frances Goodman of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Whitley of Oakboro, Truet Whitley of Oakboro; sisters, Edna Tucker of Oakboro, and Pauline Almond of Locust. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County & the Uwharrie, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC.
