Wanda Faye Gardner, 73, of Albemarle, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Gardner was born August 28, 1944 in Cabarrus County to the late Ray Franklin Sloop and the late Colon Hathcock Sloop. She was also preceded in death by her husband; William Harold Gardner; sons, Gerald Wade Slough and Ronald Dale Slough; a grandson; sister, Lana Little; and brother, Frankie Sloop.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Gleaning Mission Church, 21413 E. 8th Street in Oakboro. A Celebration of her Life will be held at the church on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 4:00 PM officiated by Rev. Steve Barbee.

Survivors include sons, O. V. Gardner and wife Angie and Scott Gardner and wife Tyra both of Albemarle; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Gardner family.
