Bobby Donald Hopkins, 77, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Oakboro, NC, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System Main in Charlotte. Mr. Hopkins was born October 24, 1940 in Stanly County to the late Earl Donald Hopkins and the late Virginia Lee Hopkins. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2018 at Indian Hill Presbyterian Church in Stanfield.

The funeral service will be on Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary officiated by Pastor Rick Brundin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include brother, Gene Lee (Ruth) Hopkins of Oakboro; nieces, Anita Godwin (Eddie) of Belmont, Lisa Hopkins of Charlotte, Eva Cline (Jack) of The Villages, Florida, and Adriane Hopkins of Oakboro; and a number of cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to Indian Hill Presbyterian Church, 8349 NC Hwy. 200, Stanfield, NC 28163. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Hopkins family.
